How Important Are Do Follow Backlinks

First off let me explain how SEO works…

The key to getting first page listings on search engines is content and links.

If you imagine that Google is like a high school and in high school you have the popular kids and the no so popular kids.  Each group has their own popularity.  You have the jocks, the goths, the nerds and the geeks each with their own level in the pecking order.

So to get first page listings on Google you need the cool site’s to link to you – but remember before they will link to you, you first need to get noticed by less popular sites.

Are links that don’t carry any weight, it’s like they say your cool but only when there alone.  Although these links will bring you traffic they won’t help you rank in the search engines.

Do Follow Links

Now these are the holy grail of SEO they will get you traffic and build up your popularity and authority.
